I. DUPLEX:

Duplex UNS S32205 (F51.14462) | X2CrNiMoN22-5-3: Is a type of duplex stainless steel, a combination of austenitic-ferritic steel. Ferritic-austenitic stainless steel (Cr-Ni-Mo) with nitrogen addition.

Advantages of duplex stainless steel UNS S32205:

High corrosion resistance, especially resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing solutions.

Good toughness. Resistance to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 300°C. No post-welding heat treatment required. Surface conditions for optimum corrosion resistance: pickling, heat treatment without scale or machining.

II. SUPERDUPLEX:

1. Superduplex Stainless Steel UNS S32760 (F55 / 1.4501) also known as Zeron 100:

Super Duplex alloy UNS S32760 (F55/1.4501) has the advantage of excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of environments, with outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater, acids and other chloride-containing environments, with critical pitting temperatures exceeding 50°C. Provides higher strength than both austenitic stainless steels and 22% Cr Duplex stainless steels.

UNS S32760 (F55) Applications:

Suitable for a wide range of applications in industries such as Chemical Processing, Oil & Gas and marine environments. UNS S32760 (F55/1.4501) is listed in NACE MR 0175 for sour service and has achieved ASME approval for Pressure Vessel applications.

- Cr (Chromium): 25% - 26%

- Ni (Nickel): 7% - 8%

- Mo (Molybdenum): 4% - 5%

- Fe (Iron): Remaining

2. Supper Duplex UNS S32750 or SAF 2507:

Super Duplex alloy UNS S32750 (F53 / 1.4410 / 32750 / Alloy 2507) has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of environments, with outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride-containing environments, with critical pitting temperatures exceeding 50°C. UNS S32750 (F53/1.4410/Alloy 32750) exhibits a low coefficient of thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity than austenitic steels and is suitable for service temperatures up to 300°C. Listed in NACE MR 0175 for sour service UNS S32750 (F53/1.4401) and has achieved ASME approval for pressure vessel applications Alloy 32750 can be used in a wide variety of applications but is primarily used in the oil and gas, chemical, papermaking, storage tanks and seawater system components.

Comparison between UNS S32760 and UNS S32750:

Two high quality super duplex steels, with high corrosion resistance and strength, suitable for applications in harsh environments such as Oil & Gas, Chemical and marine environments. UNS S32760 with a slightly higher copper content (0.5-1.0% Cu) improves corrosion resistance in chemical environments, so it is often considered the higher-end choice in applications requiring even higher corrosion resistance, while UNS S32750 remains the popular choice for industrial applications requiring strong corrosion resistance and strength.
