Properties: High tensile strength (~1000-1200 MPa), good fatigue and oxidation resistance up to ~815°C. Good fatigue resistance.
EN 10269: For nickel alloy bolts in high temperature environments, especially in aerospace.
2.4856 / Alloy 625 / Inconel 625: Is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy bolt with niobium, outstanding for corrosion resistance and strength.
Properties: High strength (~900-1100 MPa), resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and oxidation to ~980°C. Excellent in seawater and acidic environments.
1.4501 / SUPERDUPLEX F55: Is a super duplex stainless steel bolt with a balanced austenitic-ferritic structure, providing high strength and corrosion resistance.
Properties: Very high tensile strength (~800-1000 MPa), resistant to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and chloride environments.
ASTM A193 gr b7 bolts are for medium to high temperature applications. The bolt material has a minimum tensile strength of 125ksi and a minimum yield strength of 105ksi.
BASIC THREAD FORMS:
METRIC: Metric thread, a common global standard:
- Metric fine / Metric coarse
UN: Unified National thread, a standard mainly in the US and Canada:
- UNC (Unified National Coarse)
- UNF (Unified National Fine)
- UNS (Unified National Special)
WHITWORTH: Whitworth thread system, an old British standard, rarely used today:
- BSW (British Standard Whitworth)
- BSF (British Standard Fine)
BOLT SURFACE COATING:
Plating methods to ensure aesthetics, durability, improve surface properties and corrosion resistance.
Galvanizing: Electroplated or hot-dip galvanized zinc coating, protects steel from corrosion.
Application: Bolts in construction, automotive, and not too harsh outdoor environments.
Advantages: Low cost, good corrosion resistance under normal conditions.
Zinc Nickel Plating: Electroplated zinc-nickel alloy, containing 10-15% nickel, providing superior corrosion resistance.
Application: Bolts in the automotive, aerospace, and chemical or salt environments.
Advantages: Higher corrosion resistance than conventional galvanizing, good heat resistance.
Hot-dip galvanizing: Dip steel parts into molten zinc, creating a thick zinc coating.
Application: Bolts for bridges, steel structures, and outdoor structures exposed to harsh weather.
Advantages: Thick, long-lasting coating, excellent corrosion resistance.

As a supplier of anchor bolts, stud bolts come in a variety of sizes such as ASTM A193 standard B7 up to 2 ½ inches. Threaded rods from M10 to M64 have standard thread pitches UNC and 8UN. In addition, high-strength metric bolts are also used in household, industrial and commercial applications that require high temperature operation because the material has strong corrosion resistance because they contain carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, and molybdenum.
Apmetal is a leading partner in providing heat-resistant and acid-resistant bolts for the automotive, oil and gas, energy, aerospace, and chemical industries in Vietnam. If you have a need for any other type of bolt, please contact us immediately for the best consulting support.
